LG Electronics says its operating profit for the third quarter jumped 4-point-4 percent to nearly 670 million dollars,... recording the company's largest quarterly result in a decade.<br />It added sales rose 1-point-8 percent on-year to 13-point-4 billion U.S. dollars.<br />The local electronics maker explained its home appliance and air solution division brought in the most revenue,... thanks to strong sales at home and abroad.<br />Its smartphone business, however, witnessed an almost 25 percent drop in sales due to weak global demand and rising marketing costs.<br />
